Android Enterprise and Intune - notes from the field
Konwledge that you need to make the implementation easier

A few ”must knows” before activating AE and linking your Intune so you can use Zero Touch when enrolling Android devices to Intune.
It is ALWAYS the vendor that will enable your company in Android for Enterprise
You CAN NOT add devices to ZTE yourself, only the vendor can do that, either before purchase or after. It is always possible to add devices regardless if the device already is in use or not.
You MUST link an Entra account/mail to your AE account, the vendor will ask for this before activation of AE.
In AE, additional accounts MUST have a gmail-adress before they can be added beacuse you CAN NOT create them within the AE interface
The first policy you create will be deafult for ALL devices in AE unless you specify otherwise.
You MUST add the enrollment profile name from Intune in the DPC confiiguration, otherwise the devices will not know what configuration should be applied.
AND.... if you are expecting a fully automated user experience like with Autopilot, you will be disappointed.
ZTE is not fully Zero Touch. It is less prompts for the user compared to manual enrollment but it is not fully automated.
Go 4 it ! 😊
